Surah Kahf
Surah Al-Kahf is the 18th Surah of the Quran. It was revealed in Makkah and has 110 verses. Many Muslims read it every Friday to gain light, peace, and reward.
Protection from Dajjal
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said the first 10 verses of Surah Kahf protect you from Dajjal. Some hadiths also mention the last 10 verses offer this shield too.
Light for the Whole Week
If you read this Surah on Friday, a light will shine for you from this Friday to the next. This light shows Allah’s guidance and care.
A light between two Fridays
Whoever reads it on Jumu’ah will have their sins between two Fridays forgiven. The light will also shine on the Day of Judgment.
It was reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever reads Sūrat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him which extends from him to the Ancient House (i.e., the Kaʿbah).”
